6 Reasons to Get A Water Heater Inspection

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Are you the owner of a restaurant, housing complex, store, or other commercial property? Do you feel like your fix and repair list doesn’t end?
In this day and age, water heaters are a necessity for any commercial property. It’s certainly not ideal to own multifamily units or apartment complexes without providing the benefits of water heaters. So, why wait for your water heater to cause problems?
A regular water heater inspection is vital to a water heater’s functionality and to your commercial property’s success. Here’s what it can do for you:

1. Maintain Safety

  • Keep the people that utilize your commercial buildings safe
  • Regulate safe carbon monoxide levels produced by water heaters
  • Monitor the level of carbon monoxide to keep it at a safe level

2. Keep Your Unit in Compliance With the Building Code

  • Will help you comply with building code, especially with changes to the code
  • Avoid fines or potential lawsuits by maintaining safety and caution

3. Maintain Energy Efficiency

  • Check water heater efficiency
  • Detect areas that could be more efficient
  • Provide suggestions to make the unit more energy efficient
  • Help you save money with increased efficiency

4. Make it last

  • Sediment buildup, or mineral deposits, often occurs in water heater units—> catch these sediment buildups, or mineral deposits, and flush them out of the unit with an inspection
  • This will prevent problems caused by the deposits

5. Extend the life of your water heater

  • On average, water heaters are expected to last about ten years
  • With inspections, expand the lifespan of your water heater by detecting problems before they happen

6. Reduce Property Damage Liability

  • Save money by being proactive with inspections
  • Catch potential damage before it happens
  • Avoid added expenses and costs from property damage

A regular water heater inspection will provide your commercial property with these benefits and save you money.

  1. It helped a lot when you mentioned how you should remove mineral build up in your water heater so it lasts. I understand that taking the time to do some research and read online reviews can help you know how to properly clean your water heater. We are planning on replacing our water heater for a bigger one so we all get hot water when showering, so I’ll keep your tips in mind to properly maintain it.

  2. I like that you mentioned that water heaters are expected to last ten years on average. My wife and I just moved into an older home, and I don’t think the water heater has been replaced within the last ten years. I’d like to have the important appliances replaced so we can have everything on the same maintenance track. That will make things much easier for me moving forward. Thanks for the information!
