Hydrojetting Applications for Residential & Commercial Plumbing

Hydrojetting Applications for Residential & Commercial Plumbing

When it comes to plumbing, people create different types of clogs. Some blockages may seem minor. But, others can disrupt your home or business. For tough clogs, traditional methods like snaking often aren’t enough. They can’t restore smooth water flow. This is where hydrojetting comes in. Hydrojetting uses high-pressure water to clear tough clogs. It works for all plumbing systems, including residential, commercial, and industrial ones. But when exactly should you opt for this powerful method? Let’s examine the top uses of hydrojetting. It can improve plumbing in various settings.

What is Hydrojetting?

Hydrojetting is a plumbing method. It uses a high-pressure water jet to clear blockages and clean pipes. Hydrojetting, unlike traditional methods, uses a powerful water stream. It can remove tough blockages, like grease, tree roots, and mineral buildup. At New Pipes Inc, we specialize in hydrojetting. We keep both residential and commercial plumbing systems in top condition. This method is best for long-term plumbing health. It clears blockages and prevents future clogs.

Hydrojetting helps all plumbing systems. This includes home, commercial, and industrial ones. Let’s explore the specific benefits and applications of hydrojetting across different settings.

Applications of Hydrojetting in Residential Plumbing

In residential plumbing, hydrojetting is a game-changer. It helps homeowners with recurring drain issues. It can solve a variety of plumbing problems and is particularly effective for the following:

  1. Clearing Stubborn

Clogs Hydrojetting is a great way to clear tough clogs. It works on grease, hair, soap scum, and even tree roots. Traditional drain cleaners and snaking may only offer a temporary fix. Hydrojetting, however, cleans the entire pipe. The pressurized water stream removes all debris. It keeps your pipes clear for longer.

  1. Preventing Future Blockages

A key benefit of hydrojetting in home plumbing is that it prevents future clogs. Using hydrojetting regularly can clean out any buildup in the pipes. This can prevent a blockage later. This approach can save homeowners from major plumbing problems later.

  1. Restoring Optimal Water Flow

Over time, pipes can accumulate debris and mineral deposits that restrict water flow. Hydrojetting removes this buildup and restores full water flow to your plumbing system. This is crucial for older homes. Mineral deposits and scale may have built up for years.

  1. Maintaining pipe health

Hydrojetting is a safe and non-invasive way to clean pipes. Unlike mechanical methods, hydrojetting won’t damage older, fragile pipes. It works gently but effectively to clear blockages. This makes it a great choice for homes with older plumbing systems.

Hydrojetting in Commercial Plumbing

In commercial plumbing, the stakes are higher, and the plumbing systems are more complex. Hydrojetting offers significant advantages for businesses looking to keep their plumbing running smoothly. Here’s how plumbers apply hydrojetting in commercial plumbing:

  1. Clearing Heavy-Duty Clogs.

Businesses, especially restaurants and hotels, often deal with high waste and debris in their plumbing. Grease, food scraps, and soap can easily clog commercial drains. Hydrojetting is ideal for breaking tough blockages. It helps businesses avoid costly downtime and plumbing repairs.

  1. Efficient Sewer Line Cleaning.

Commercial plumbing systems often have long, complex sewer lines. They can become blocked with buildup and debris over time. Hydrojetting is a great way to clear these lines. It keeps them free-flowing and working. Hydrojetting can remove grease, tree roots, rust, and scale from commercial sewer lines.

  1. Grease Trap Cleaning

Restaurants need grease traps in their plumbing. But, grease buildup can cause significant issues if not cleaned regularly. Hydrojetting is the best way to clean grease traps. It breaks down stubborn grease and keeps the system running smoothly.

  1. Preventing Sewer Backups

A blocked sewer line can lead to major disruptions in business operations. A plumbing backup can cause costly delays and damage, in a hotel or medical facility. Hydrojetting prevents plumbing issues by clearing debris before it causes a backup.

  1. Maintaining Plumbing Systems

Regular hydrojetting of commercial plumbing can keep it working. Regularly cleaning pipes and drains can help businesses. It avoids costly repairs and keeps things running efficiently.

Industrial Plumbing and Hydrojetting

Industrial plumbing systems are among the most complex and large. Hydrojetting is vital for maintaining these large systems. It prevents costly breakdowns and disruptions. Here’s how industrial plumbers apply hydrojetting:

  1. Cleaning Large-Diameter Pipes

Many industrial plumbing systems use large-diameter pipes. They handle high volumes of wastewater and waste materials. Hydrojetting is best for clearing these pipes. The high-pressure water can break up even the largest blockages. This ensures that industrial plumbing systems remain efficient and clog-free.

  1. Wastewater Treatment Systems

Industrial facilities use them to clean water before returning it to the environment. Over time, sludge, mineral buildup, and debris can clog these systems. Hydrojetting keeps these systems clean. It prevents costly breakdowns and helps them run efficiently.

  1. Boilers and heat exchangers

They are vital to many industrial processes. Someone must maintain them. Sludge or mineral buildup can reduce efficiency and raise failure risk. Hydrojetting cleans boilers and heat exchangers. It keeps them running reliably.

  1. Emergency Drain Cleaning

In industries where plumbing can disrupt operations, a quick fix is vital. Hydrojetting provides emergency drain cleaning. It lets companies quickly resume operations.

Hydrojetting vs. Pressure Washers: What’s the Difference?

You might be wondering whether a pressure washer can do the same job as hydrojetting. While both methods use high-pressure water, they differ in their applications. Pressure washers are mainly for surface cleaning. They wash cars and clean building exteriors. Hydrojetting is for plumbing. It uses water at much higher pressure. It is far more effective at clearing blockages and cleaning the inside of pipes.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Our San Jose Condo had the original heat and AC system from 1978. New Pipes came recommended by a good friend and we were grateful that New Pipes did the replacement work. We needed all of the vents replaced as well. They were so clean and did an outstanding job and the price was very reasonable. We also used New Pipes to install a new AC system in our mother's house. Once again, they did a great job in a very timely manner. We will use them again!

I recently had a slab leak, and our HOA management company selected New Pipes to do the investigation and plumbing resolution. Once the word was go, Patrick was on site to cap the old pipes and stop the leakage. It ended up being a tough job and took 4 shifts to fix it - there were more pipes than thought as it's a pretty old complex. Maybe there was a shift in the earth that jostled things around. At any rate, Patrick went above and beyond to fix everything, and was professional and personable throughout the work. I commend him highly, and thank the whole team that helped resolve this concerning issue. You're the best!

Well, this one inevitable call had to take place yesterday morning. Adam shows up within an hour. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was able to clear our kitchen pipes up quickly (they were clogged on the outside part of our house) and left no mess, NO TRACE. (This I've not seen from our other contractor workers) Thank you Adam and New Pipes for the great work! We'll highly recommend!
